Rams Varsity Baseball Competes in Carrollton Creekview Tournament, February 26 - 28, 2010

The Rams had their first action of the regular season over the weekend as they played in the Creekview Tournament.

Game 1: BHS v. Parish Episcopal: The Rams trailed the entire game until the last inning. With time expired, the Rams knocked around 4 hits and scored 3 runs to rally and defeat Parish 4-2. The Rams were lead at the plate by Garrett Hendricks, Sam McNeese, and Eric Schildt who each had 3 key hits to help the Rams to victory. Mickey Petty, Ryan Ledford, and Taylor Starnes pitched for the Rams holding Parish to 2 runs. Ledford wound up getting the Win and Starnes the Save. Congratulations Rams!

 

Game 2: BHS v. Frsico Wakeland: The Rams could not get much going against a very good Wakeland team. Eric Schildt battled through 5 innings on the mound before giving way to Austin Roderick in relief. The Rams were lead at the plate by Sam McNeese, Taylor Starnes, and Stephen Spurlin. The Rams lost 11-1.

 

Game 3: BHS v. Newman Smith: The Rams ended the tournament with a very frustrating loss to Newman Smith. The Rams outplayed Newman in every way except on the scoreboard and loss 7 - 1. The Rams got a stellar performance from Stephen Sprulin on the mound who pitched 6 innings. The Rams were lead at the plate with multiple hits by Austin Roderick, and Taylor Stranes.
