Rams varsity drops Friday night game to top-ranked Plano West

Berkner dropped to 4-3 in District 9-5A play with an 11-1 loss to Plano West March 28th at PW. The game was in reach for the Rams until the 5th, when Plano West scored 6 to take a 10-1 lead.

Defensive highlights for the Rams included an over the shoulder running catch in deep center by David Kobilka and a relay from Marino Stathakis to Raymond Valdez to catcher Garrett Hendricks to nail PW's first attempt to score. On offense, getting hits for the Rams were Sam McNeese, Marino Stathakis, and Chris Hendrix.

JV takes 3-2 victory over Plano West

Rams JV earned their second win in a row with a 3-2 victory over a strong Plano West team. The Rams were led with great pitching from Spencer Edmonds, who allowed just 1 hit and 2 runs. Key hits came from Preston Dunlap (3 for 3), Aric Stock, Nic Thompson, and Raul Castro. Autsin Roderick made some great plays at short and the entire defense contributed in a big win for Berkner.
