Rams Take 2 of 3 During Busy Week of District Play
At Plano: In their third District 9-5A game, the Rams won a wild one at Plano March 17th. Berkner opened up a 9-3 lead in the top of the 4th, only to see Plano fight back and go up 10-9.
The Rams scored 2 more to retake the lead. Stephen Spurlin finished the game strong to get the victory on the mound.
Vs. PESH: Berkner won again March 20 vs. Plano East. Marino Stathakis took the mound and held PESH to 1 run over 6 innings with solid defense behind him. Drew Roland tied the game with a single in the 6th and Chris Hendrix drove in Roland for the winning run.
At Lake Highlands: Lake Highlands fought back from a 4-0 deficit to hand the Rams their second District 9-5A loss. David Kobilka, Gilberto Castro, Drew Roland, Sam McNeese, and Raymond Valdez had hits for Berkner. |
