Rams Open 2008 vs. Sachse
The Rams Varsity and JV opened their seasons vs. Sachse Feb. 19th.
Varsity lost a hard fought extra inning game vs. the Mustangs, a playoff team in 2007. The Rams led 1-0 heading into the 6th, but fell 4-1 after eight. Freshman Sam McNeese had a strong night at 2nd base, including turning a key double play in the 4th.
On the mound, senior Chris Hendrix held Sachse to one run through 6 innings of work.
JV Takes Lead into 6th, falls 5-4 in 7th
JV battled back from a 3-0 deficit to lead Sachse 4-3 late in the JV contest. Sachse tied the Rams in the 6th and pushed the winning run across in the 7th. Freshman Spencer Edmonds had a strong complete game outing on the mound for Berkner. |
